Christine Cantor a Grade 9 Diamond student won second place in the Regional Patiribayan, Photo Reflection category in Values Education held at Baao National High School in December 17, 2014.
Cantor was the official representative of the Division of Camarines Sur after winning in the Division level at Pili National High School, Pili Camarines Sur last November 25, 2014. Earlier, she was declared champion at Colacling national High School during the First Congressional completion on November 14, 2014.
Cantor recalled that the training she had to go through before the Division and the Regional training had not been easy.
“For the first time in my life I was always conscious and vent in having to come up with reflections everyday as a way to prepare me for the competition. It was all worth it , though,” she quipped.
Mr. Ramon S. Abejero, Jr. was Cantor’s coach for the contest.
Daniel wins SSG prexy election by a landslide
Edralyn P. Daniel, a Grade 9 Diamond, student enjoyed an overwhelming victory against her opponent Carla Mae Salvador, a Grade 9 Sapphire for the presidency seat during the Student Supreme Government election held last February 28, 2015.
Daniel’s party got the majority seats in the election; earning ten out of fourteen available positions. While the other contending party, the UNA got the remaining slots.
Other winners in the election were: Marie Angela Dawal, Vice President; Christine Cantor, Secretary; Niña JojieBriones, Treasurer; Justine Gabuat, Auditor; RyzaAñonuevo, P.R.O; Joyce AngielynBasco and Fyodor Fiel Tepanero. Peace Officers; Alyssa Coldas and Arl Joseph Morada, Grade-10 Representatives; Efren Bobis and Joshua Serrano, Grade-9 Representatives; JhuliannePalino and RessanyGolpe, Grade-8 Representatives.
The other participating party in the election was the UNA (Unlimited Nice Action) party.
The new set of officers were proclaimed by Ms. Raquel C. Montenegro, the SSG adviser, right after the canvassing of votes.
SLNHS Intrams 2015 kicks off
To promote sports manship and camaraderie among students, Sta. Lutgarda National High School conducted a two-day Intramurals last September 9-10.
The said activity commenced with a parade around the town proper which was followed by the opening program.
The four grade levels showed off talents during the Field Demonstration in which the Grade 10 landed first place followed by the Grade 9, Grade 7 and Grade 8, respectively.
Games were competed in the afternoon of the first day while the championships were done on the second day. Games were divided into three categories: Laro ng Lahi, Board and Ball Games.
Among the four competing teams, Team D or Team Olryt got the Over-all Champion Trophy followed by the Team B, First Runner-Up; Team C, Second Runner-Up and Team A, Third Runner-Up.
“ We are overjoyed to get the Over-all Champ trophy, we were actually afraid we won’t have it as we did not do well in the ball games. Good things we swept the board games,” said one of the Team D players.
